Mission Statement
To offer continuous and generous support in the sport of tennis by delivering accessible and efficient products and services that foster growth, interest, and a love of athletics for all age groups.
TenPal, LLC was formed in 2016 by cofounders Alexander K. Guo, Courtney K. Guo, Kui Ying, and Yun Ying. Based in Massachusetts, we design and create accessible tennis products in the United States and China.
TenPal, LLC was founded with an initial goal to provide an alternate option for retrieving tennis balls. Though numerous other tennis ball retrievers exist, we aim to provide a fully or partially automatic experience to relieve players of heightened physical exhaustion and stress that may result from manual collection of tennis balls. Existing competitors offer only a mechanical solution that continues to require full human control through pushing or pulling a device across the court. When coupled with such mechanical machines, partially or fully automatic ball retrievers will be capable of increasing market coverage, appealing to those for those who value the different features that automatic machines have to offer. As such, we believe it is in our interest to assist such players and provide a solution for collecting tennis balls that is intuitive, practical, and entertaining for all age groups, globally.
Although TenPal, LLC is remains in its infancy, we believe that the existing market for tennis ball collectors fails to address automatic retrievers, and thus we believe our product, the internationally patented Golden Retriever will not only increase efficiency on the court, but will also serve as the foundation for future inevitable tennis-related products. It is in our earnest beliefs that the Golden Retriever and similar such projects will influence many tennis players and create an opportunity to foster growth, interest, and a love for the sport. We believe that such products will become true tennis companions.

Company Description
TenPal, LLC, was founded with an earnest desire to improve experiences of tennis companions worldwide. Complex, electric machines capable of serving tennis balls have become commonplace in many clubs, yet the presence of similarly advanced ball collectors are nonexistent. The current market for ball collectors remain in the purely mechanical stage, requiring players to manually retrieve tennis balls either with the help of solely their racket, or with the assistance of a simple, inexpensive device. TenPal, LLC aims to lessen this global phenomenon by introducing the Golden Retriever, a machine capable of retrieving tennis balls partially, and in the future, fully automatically through onboard electronics and an advanced design. Such a machine allows for a greater effort to be devoted to improving tennis technique and skill, and when combined with a fully manual collector that TenPal is also developing, users will be able to select the method of ball collection that best fits their needs.
TenPal serves a variety of groups and individuals involved in the sport of tennis, from young tennis students to professional athletes. Below is a list detailing some of these customers:

Product Line
At TenPal, we pride ourselves in our first product: the Golden Retriever. The Golden Retriever, a remote-controlled tennis ball collector, fills the gap perpetuated by the absence of an automated such machine. Customers of all demographics and backgrounds will appreciate the Golden Retriever for its efficiency in collecting tennis balls, eliminating the need to manually retrieve them and allowing more resources to be devoted on playing tennis.
The Golden Retriever is currently in its prototype stage. It holds U.S. Patent No. US9,114,285 B2 and Chinese Patent No. 201320139146.5 and 201310097897, attesting to its novelty and originality in the functions it serves.
The future of the Golden Retriever is inevitably complete automation. Research and development efforts on such an idea are underway, with a goal of introducing computer vision and machine learning as tools to automatically guide the machine to retrieve tennis balls in the most efficient manner possible. A camera on the machine will serve as its guide, and various algorithms will be implemented to allow for complete automation. At TenPal, we believe that this feature will become the largest advantage of the retriever, appealing to all groups and individuals. The existence of this capability will further set the Golden Retriever from its competitors, increasing its lead in the market.
In addition to future software developments, we are also considering improvements and expansions to our product line. We plan to create different models of the Golden Retriever catering to different demographics, groups of people, and court types. We hope to also introduce a fully manual version of the Golden Retriever to complete a product line of fully manual, partially automatic, and fully automatic machines that will cater to users of all needs.
