Alexander Guo

Hi! Welcome to my website. I’m Alexander Guo, a junior at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology majoring in computer science and urban studies and planning. You may notice that my logo is a reference to Ag, element 47! Although I have no real connection to silver, STEM is a big part of my life. In high school, I worked on numerous research projects, from combatting air pollution in Beijing to using carbon nanotubes in practical applications. In college, I've interned at various tech companies and continued with my personal projects.

The items in the navigation bar are some of the activities I'm interested in (how surprising!). For example, film has been my passion for years, throughout middle school and high school, and even into college. I love to be behind the camera, coming up with creative ideas to frame the shot or tell the story.

There are other activities that I enjoy doing that I felt would not need entire pages to address. I love to play badminton, both competitively and was the captain of the badminton club at Deerfield, my high scohol. In the field of computer science, I've worked on various personal projects ranging from Messenger data analysis, RescueTime (a computer program tracking your usage) analysis, and of course, Beijing's air quality analysis. I've also recently developed a passion for urban planning, especially in transportation, hence my double major. I haven't done many projects related to urban planning yet, but I do plan to in the future.

Click through the tabs on the navigation bar, and you'll find what I love to do, some examples of my work, and more. Apologies for some of the older content from high school -- I'm working on updating the website with newer material! In the downloads section, you can download all of the featured work from the other pages on the site, in addition to other related files. Enjoy!

If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions, please email me at alexanderguo99@gmail.com. You can download my resume in the downloads section.
